Meet an Atheist! (This includes you David Dawson!)

Due to David Dawson’s (columnist at The Lantern) recent post about atheists, it is very clear by his remarks and many of the comments that many of these people have probably never sat down and talked to an atheist.  There are several people out there that think we are ‘militant’, don’t take interest in differences of different religious philosophies, that we ‘abuse science’, have  a ‘bold, reasonless approach to make such arrogant conclusions like “there is no God”’, and much much more – just read his article.

As most of you who are reading this know, we are none of the sorts of these claims that these people are making. So what can we do? Give them an opportunity to meet an atheist!

Although Students for Freethought has meetings every Thursday at 7:30pm, you’re not going to get one’s philosophy in one night. So we’re opening up a new program, where people can sign up to set up an appointment with one of our real live atheists! Those interested in sitting down with us can fill out a form by clicking here, and they’ll get a response from one of our atheist participants who will set up a time/place to meet with them.

So David Dawson – are you up for the challenge?
